The annual Ultra Music Festival, held in Miami, Florida, is now coming to Japan for the first time. This music festival extravaganza, “Ultra Japan 2014”, will be held at Tokyo Odaiba Ultra Park on 28-29 September 2014. To honor of this event, car maker Toyota collaborated with popular Vocaloid music composer, Kz(Livetune), to produce a special movie, “Party in car ~ Dancing Kids with Toyota feat. Ultra Japan 2014”. It showcases Toyota’s sports car, Toyota 86 and G’s Mark X , drifting to Livetune’s high adrenaline music pump up with rhythmical vocals. The video had specially incorporated a new technology “Drift Turn table” where the sensors that recorded the cars’ movements were turned into music. It’s basically having your car sing to a particular tune!
Unknown to many, Livetune has composed music for artists, such as Kotoko, Maon Kurasaki,ClariS, and Ryo of Supercell. In his most recent collaboration, he worked with international artist, Pharell WIlliams, for the song entitled “Last Night,Good Night (Re:dialed) – Pharell Williams remix” . This song was used as the theme song for Takashi Murakami’s directorial debut film, Jellyfish Eyes. He also collaborated with Bump of Chicken for the song “Ray feat. Hatsune Miku”.
