According to a wrap-around jacket for the recently-released Volume 6 of NAOE’s survival game manga, Aoharu x Kikanjuu (Aoharu X Machine Gun), the series will be getting itself its very own TV anime adaptation.
Aoharu x Kikanjuu is a manga about a group of unlikely survival game (airsoft) players which includes a girl who likes cross-dressing as a boy (reverse trap) named Hotaru Tachibana, a host named Masamune Matsuoka, and an adult manga artist named Tohru Yukimura. Together, the three of them aim to be the best survival game team in Japan. Here is the manga’s PV as released by G Fantasy’s official website
The manga already has five tankoubon compilation volumes released, with the sixth one (the one containing the anime announcement) being released today, 27 February. It was originally aritten as a two-part manga but became popular enough to get its own serialized series in Square Enix’s G Fantasy Magazine.
More announcements, such as Aoharu x Kikanjuu’s voice cast, staff, release date, and animation studio, will be made in days to come.
