In 2014, YouTube stars Goose house made their mark on the anisong world with two successful anime theme songs. They’ve got no plans to slow down this year — they’re putting out not just one, but two new albums. “Milk” and “Bitter” will both be released on 25 February 2015.
Goose house is a band that comprises seven vocalists, who also play at least one instrument each . They are known for their extremely polished covers of Japanese songs, which incorporate creative acoustic rearrangements and delightful vocal harmonies. They perform in monthly livestream sessions on Ustream and also upload their covers to their YouTube channel. Recently, Goose house were awarded the Golden Play Button by YouTube for surpassing one million channel subscribers.
Goose house are also gaining popularity with their original music. Last year, they contributed the ending themes for two anime series: “Oto no naru Hou e→” for “Silver Spoon” (“Gin no Saji”) and “Hikaru Nara” for “Your Lie in April” (“Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso”). “Milk” and “Bitter” will be the band’s third and fourth full albums respectively.
Each album will have eight tracks and its own distinct concept. “Milk” is being released under their major label and will feature their anime tie-in songs, “Oto no naru Hou e→” and “Hikaru Nara”. It will be available in two editions: Limited Edition (with bonus DVD) and Regular Edition. “Bitter”, on the other hand, will be an independent release, and comes in only one edition. It will include a new version of one of their earliest songs, “Sing”, as well as a new track that they have introduced during their 2014 live tour, “Mirai no Ashiato”.
