On 26 Sep 2014, “PSYCHO-Fes” a promotional event for the anime series “PSYCHO PASS” was held in Yokohama. During the event, the production team announced that the “PSYCHO PASS” movie will be premiering in Japan on 09 Jan 2015.
Not much about the movie is known about this movie at this point in time. Meanwhile, with the second season’s premiere fast approaching, perhaps it’s time to consider putting some money aside to pick up a very cool replica of the Dominator. The Dominator is a handgun that is carried by officers from the Public Safety Bureau in the anime.
This 1:1 scale replica, produced by Bandai as part of its Proplica line, not only lights up, it also plays back voice-overs from the Dominator’s seiyuu Noriko Hidka and allows its owner to re-enact several scenes in the anime. Check out the videos below.
Bandai’s Dominator is approximately 360mm in length which makes for quite an impressive prop to be carrying around when cosplaying as one of the Pyscho-Pass officers. Unfortunately, the gun cannot transform into the the other two modes, Lethal Eliminator and Destroy Decomposer. This replica is set for a January 2015 release and will set you back by 21,600 yen which is approximately SGD252.
One advices for those wanting to bring the prop in from your holiday to Japan… It might be stopped by your countries’ custom…
