Glay has announced that their new song Hashire! Mirai will serve as the 3rd theme song for the baseball themed anime Ace of Diamond. Hashire! Mirai will be included in Glay‘s double A-side single titled Haykka Ryouran/Hashire!Mirai, to be released on 15 October 2014The announcement was made on the final day of their six-prefecture tour “Glay Live Tour 2014 Tohoku” in Miyagi on Friday.

GLAY LIVE TOUR 2014 TOHOKU

The music composition and lyrics will be by Glay’s vocalist TERU who declared that he too is a fan of Ace of Diamond. TERU said he loved reading the manga but did not think that Glay would be selected to sing one of the theme songs and this has made him very happy.

TERU re-read the manga from the first volume again in order to write the lyrics for Hashire! Mirai.  He also said that he wrote a fast tempo rock song to portray the sense of sprinting because he felt that this would follow the image of the anime.

The song is set to be used as the new opening theme song from 12 October 2014.

And in order to commemorate the release of this 51st single, Glay will be holding a special limited live for those who purchase the single. Those who purchase the single at specific stores can apply for the chance to attend their live at Zepp Tokyo on 16 September. Details of this live can be found on their official website.
