The Elucidator is a pitch black sword, and it is wielded by Kirito as his primary weapon in the anime series Sword Art Online. It is such a beautiful weapon piece that the folks behind MAN AT ARMS went on to forge a real replica.
Tony from MAN AT ARMS had been forging many classic weapons from popular games and anime series, including Sephiroth’s Masamune and Ichigo Kurosaki’s Zangetsu. Following popular request from fans, this week special features Kirito’s Elucidator.
I had been a regular viewer of this youtube channel, and fans have always been putting in their request for this weapon to be made. While all that bickering happened, I will continue to wait for more World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings, or Elder Scrolls, or maybe Hodor.

If you have been following his channel, he seems to have been using a particular wheel very often of late. It is the one he dubs the wheel of death. It makes me think that he is a dedicated artisan, and wants to accurately profile and buff the weapon. Also, for the Elucidator, the black coloration could not be done at his workshop. so he had to send it to a commercial place to get it treated and let the “rust” eats into the metal.
