Shingeki no Kyojin (or Attack on Titan) proves to be the true titan of all anime in 2013, sweeping awards at the annual Animage magazine reader’s choice Anime Grand Prix 2013. Looking at the results published in the June 2014 issue, Shingeki took home the top awards for Anime Series, Male Character (Levi) and Anisong (opening theme: Guren no Yumiya), plus sending a total of seven members of the seiyuu cast into the top 20 Seiyuu list.
In a continuation of his massive winning streak, Yuuki Kaji takes top honours at this year’s polls as Eren Yeager (Shingeki no Kyojin), making this his second straight win. He also won last year for Alibaba Saluja (Magi).
Following close behind are fellow cast members Hiroshi Kamiya in second place (Levi, Shingeki no Kyojin) and Yuu Kobayashi in third (Sasha Braus, Shingeki no Kyojin). Riding an immense popularity wave from 2013, Tastsuhisa Suzuki (Makoto Tachibana, Free!) swims into 4th place, with Mamoru Miyano (Rin Matsuoka, Free!) bringing up the rest of the top five.
Shimono Hiro (Connie, Shingeki no Kyojin), Ryota Ohsaka (Marco, Shingeki no Kyojin), Tomokazu Sugita (Marlowe, Shingeki no Kyojin) and Daisuke Ono (Erwin, Shingeki no Kyojin) rounds up the rest of the SnK crew in the top 20 list. Newlywed Sawashiro squeezes into the top 10, with the younger brother to legend Sayaka Ohara, Takashi Ohara in 8th. Real-life BFFs Yuuichi Nakamura and Tomokazu Sugita earn themselves adjacent spots in 17th and 18th, with Nana Mizuki in 19th.
