If you are a fan of Puella Magi Madoka Magica (MadoMagi) and frequently wear anime-themed apparels, then you might want to turn your attention to these shirts. Nijigen Cospa is releasing some lovely work shirts with Madoka and Mami embroidered onto them, and they look pretty interesting because at first glance it might be mistaken for a normal shirt with a design embroidered at the back.
Typically, most anime-themed shirts simply have the characters printed on, but these work shirts are different because the characters are embroidered onto the shirt. Of course, this gives the shirt a different textured feel and they would tend to be more lasting because each character is created using more than 100,000 embroidery stitches.
Personally, the Madoka design looks okay, but it’s not getting to me. I think there is not enough contrast with the colours. As for the design with Mami embroidered to the back, it looks a tad better. Below are some photos previewing the work shirts:
At 12,000-yen (S$150, Rp 1,340,000) plus tax, these shirts will be sold at AnimeJapan 2014 ahead of its general release. The anime event will be held on 22 & 23 Mar 2014. Of course, there would be other MadoMagi related character goods to be released at the events, and some of them are listed below:
Teacup with Homu and Madoka in yukata(s), 900-yen (S$11, Rp 100,000) plus tax.
140cm x 80cm towel with Homu and Madoka on it. 4,800-yen (S$60, Rp 540,000) plus tax.
Train pass holders. There are five for each character. Looks like it’d be a good one for kids! These are going at 1,200-yen (S$15, Rp 134,000) each plus tax.
