k-on-pocky

Here sits Canadian Figure Skater Patrick Chan, watching some K-On! and play-drumming to the opening, preparing for the Japan Open, 2011. By the way, he proceeded to win a silver medal. Here’s The video in question!

I should be controlling myself, but this resonates with me on so many levels because:

  1. I am a drummer myself
  2. My band’s earlier days were spent covering songs from K-On! (By Houkago Tea Time if you want to be technical about it)
  3. At one point of time, I liked K-On!… a lot!

So finding this little tidbit was really awesome! Also, it’s cool because you never know if some interesting famous person watches anime or reads manga, even if it’s just a few titles. Sure it isn’t something to fuss about, but you gotta admit that occasionally finding out small little details like this is kinda interesting itself!

Also, if you are kind of curious as to how he is doing in Sochii (Sochii Winter Olympics, 2014, happening right now in good ol’ Russia), he’s gotten 1 silver medal so far. You go get ‘em!

Oh, and thanks reddit!

In other news…

Johnny Entertainment worthy, beautiful Japanese Figure skater, Yuzuru Hanyu (Winner of the gold medal at Sochii) got drawn in the Danganrompa style, and gets a reaction by Megumi Ogata (voice actor of  Danganrompa‘s Makoto and Evangelion‘s Shinji)…

∑(゚Д゚) He’s an Ultimate-class figure skater!

“(´-’)。oO Hanyū-kun…as Shinji, performing the World Shaking attack, with “Mono-Pooh” — what’s it got to do with me…♡)←

Oh I am sure it has something to do with you…

He has also been seen conjuring up some alchemist on Sochi’s ice to bring about his favourite pooh~
