Not getting enough of Attack on Titan? Fill your senses of taste and smell with the Shingeki no Bento, the latest collaboration between hit series Shingeki no Kyojin and Japanese bento chain Hokka-hokka Tei!
Hokka-hokka Tei, a popular bento take-out chain with nationwide branches throughout Japan, has released details of their newest campaign, “Shingeki no Bento”! Between 6-26th March, the original “Shingeki no Bento” will be sold at Hokka-hokka Tei stores nationwide in Japan at only 590 yen, making another item to take note should you be travelling there in the coming month. Besides dedicating your heart and soul to the noble cause of saving mankind, why not pledge your stomach to this yummy cause?
The exciting contents of the bento have also been announced! Inside the “walls” of the bento box, the “Colossal Titan” Chicken awaits, complete with menacing “steaming” Tartar sauce! The ginger pork stir-fry represents the precious meat Sasha stole from the food stores, next to “potato girl Sasha” inspired potato salad. The egg strips were inspired by the image of the Recon Corps on horseback (I don’t get this either), riding on the green “fields” of sliced cabbage, with the “Forest of Giant Trees” broccoli in the distance. Lastly, the ketchup-sauce spaghetti paints the bloodbath following the fallen walls. With so many details of the Kyojin world in one bowl, this bento is certainly not for the weak of stomach (just kidding).
You can also enjoy a free original key holder when you purchase the Shingeki no Bento during this period. This limited edition key holder has a total of 6 designs featuring Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Levi, Annie and the Colossal Titan in cute Hokka-hokka Tei uniforms! Access a web survey with the QR code given along with the keyholder, and complete it for an original Shingeki no Kyojin wallpaper, and get a chance to win a unique calendar (1000 sets in total). Take note though, the bento and key holders are only available while stocks last. Additionally, with a purchase of 3 bento sets, you stand a chance of winning an original version of the classic figurine featuring Levi cleaning, complete with a Hokka-hokka Tei lunchbag! Sometime this month, a special video featuring Ishikawa Yui (seiyuu of Mikasa), Kinoshita Tetsuya (Shingeki no Kyojin anime producer) and the official PR character “Kyojin-kun” tasting and commenting on the Shingeki no Bento will be featured on the campaign website sometime this month.
