Marking their 4th opening for the Kurobasu series, this new OP promises to be a little different from the previous few, which were mostly feel-good, motivational melodies. (Well, it does have “magical star” in the title…) Does not help that the PV features full-length wigs, the tackiest 70′s fashion and general absurdity.
The song is catchy, and the opening lines are spectacular. Done with minimal backing music, vocalist KISHOW showcases his clear, penetrating voice to great effect, and joins seamlessly to bring the melody quickly to the climax.
(Trivia: KISHOW also voices Tatsuya Himuro)

ENDING
FANTASTIC TUNE – Kensho Ono
This new ending theme also marks Kensho Ono’s (Kuroko’s VA/seiyuu) anisong debut. Definitely fitting to have the lead closing the show with this energetic piece. Could this signify Kuroko stepping out of the shadows and into the limelight?
A definite change in style for Kensho, which has him tackling rock and doing very well! (Love it!) Overall, a great companion song for the OP.
