Alright, are you looking for something new after your fun with Animal Crossing? Look no further. Come 27 February 2014, Harvest Moon: Connecting New Worlds (Bokujō Monogatari: Tsunagaru Shin Tenchi or Ranch Story: Connecting New Worlds) will be released on the 3DS, and you can have a hand at farming, animal handling, getting married and settling down. You did not chose town life, town life chose you! Anyway, MarvelousAQL’s site has just put this up on youtube, so go have a look.
Apart from the basic features of the game: characters customization (you can pick male or female), basic farming, harvesting, raising livestock (cows, sheep, and chickens, and dogs, cats, deer, alpacas, and Angora rabbits) The video also introduces a new ability that allows players to take care of various types of animals.
This new installment is pretty much an upgrade to the previous title – Harvest Moon: A New Beginning. Besides having some new villagers, and a fishing mini-game the farming metagame has been streamlined and made easier, but still retains the core qualities of what it was before. As the story progresses, players will be able to interact with and take care of various animals by going on a “safari”. The game has more animal varieties as compared to the previous 3DS game. As the players’ popularity increases, their products can be shipped to more countries using the Trading Post.
This new game was announced way back last year in 24 October, in an issue of Weekly Famitsu. The new game will retail in Japanese stores for 4,800-yen (US$45.68). The first edition includes an Angora rabbit strap.
Not going to lie, I have clocked many hours on various Harvest Moon titles, so this sounds interesting. I might just shell a couple hundred dollars and get myself a 3DS to try it!
